About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

short visit in Beijing

i am a citizen of USA and will be visiting Beijing for 2 days. I will arrive through the international airport. Do I need a VISA?

Tamara, if you fly to Beijing from USA, and after visiting Beijing for 2 days, you will fly to a third country or region rather than USA, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and then no need to apply for any entry permit.
Otherwise, a tourist L type may be needed.
