Temporary Residency Permit application

Hello,
I am a student in Beijing currently holding an X1 long-term visa. I want to travel on September 27th but I am just applying for the permit tomorrow, September 12th. Realistically it sounds like I will not have the permit by then. Is there any way to speed up the process so that I can travel to America in late September?

Diana, I’m afraid you cannot speed up the process. You are advised to contact with the exit and entry administration of the local PSB and ask if there is any way for you to solve this problem.
