About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa to enter Shanghai early morning 12th March 2017.....

....and leave the evening of same day and continue by sea to Hong Kong arriving 15th March early in morning.
The cruise will leave Hong Kong the next day in the afternoon ?

Jane, I think you are eligible for the free transit policy in Shanghai, but you still had better confirm this with the cruise company.
