About:Changchun Transportation

Chagan Lake fishing festival 2016/2017

Hello,
I would like to go to the annual Chagan Lake fishing festival this coming Dec/Jan.
I would like to ask the following questions
1. When is the best time to go to see the fish being brought out of the net
2. How to get there? is it in Songyuan or Changchun?

1. The winter fishing usually lasts from late December to next middle February and you can go during this time period. But the most interesting moment is the first net. However, the time is not fixed and varies from year to year. If interested in the first net, you may keep an eye on it and inqury when the time is approaching.
2. The closest city is Songyuan but the closest airport is in Chang Chun. You may fly to CC, then take a train or long-distance bu to Songyuan, then head to the Chagan Lake.
