How can I get from the Crowne Plaza Lido Hotel, in the Chaoyang District to the Forbidden City?

Subway is recommended. Walk from the hotel to Wangjing South for 8-10min, where you can take subway line 14 to Dawang Road. Then transfer to line 1 to Tian'anmen East Station. Leave from exit 1 and follow the guiding signs to the Forbidden City.
