i am egyptiana resident in uae, can i apply for visa on arrival at beijing airport?

We are married couple from Egypt and we live in UAE. do we need to apply in advance or can we apply on arrival at the Beijing airport? We are coming for tourism.And of we need to apply before travel, please tell us how and how much are the fees?Thanks,Mrs. Hoda Shendy

Hoda, you need to apply for it in advance and you can apply for it in UAE. You should first provide those documents for the tourist L type: passport and its copy, the application form, a half-length color photo, your residence permit in UAE, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. And then submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for the L type. It may cost 100 dirham. But the final payment is subject to the actual payment given by the embassy.
