About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

FLYING INTO BKK, STOP AT BEIJING TWICE

We are US citizens flying to BKK, Thailand, with connection flight in Beijing (over 8 hrs).
On the way back got a fight from SGN-PEK-USA. Do we qualify for the 72 hrs visa?

If the layover time in Beijing is within 72 hours on your way back, you can enjoy the free transit for both legs of your trip. Nice journey!

Thanks! Unfortunately, it is not. First leg is on the 22nd and second one 8 days later. Visa is required, right?

So how long you will stay in Beijing when you return? If it is less than 72 hours, you can enjoy the visa-free transit. In this case, no visa is needed.
