About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am arriving in Beijing 9 nov 10.25am, get on a ship 12 nov travel to s Korea, japan

then Shanghai for a day onwards to Vietnam and Hong Kong ending in Singapore.
Very confusing, they are very costly £151 each
Do i need a multiple entry or can i combine the 72 hours with the 144 hours

Karen, you cannot use the 72 hour free transit in Beijing because you will leave by ship. Maybe you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. You are advised to confirm that with the cruise company.
If yes, a single-entry tourist L type or transit G type is enough. If not, a double-entry one is needed.
As for HK, you can go there freely, so no entry permit is needed.
