How long can my residence permit be for?

Is there a 5 year residence permit, if so what do I need to provide. I live in Beijing and I am extending my contract with my school for 5 years, can I get a 5 year residence permit?

Yes, Walter, there is the 5-year residence permit, but I'm not sure whether you can get it. You can have a try. The procedures and documents are no big difference from those for the 1-year residence permit.
