About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I use the 72hour waiver

I have a New Zealand passport and am flying into Hong Kong and travelling via Train to Shanghai and then flying home to NZ. Does this waiver work for the train as well as the Plane??

Judy, usually, the 72 hour free transit is only applicable to those traveling by flights. But the 144 hour free transit is carried out in Shanghai now. So if your layover time in Shanghai is less than 144 hours, you can enjoy the free transit in Shanghai.
