Expiring Passports

If you have a passport that is expiring within 6 months of the travel time to China, is it impossible to obtain a Visa for Tourism? How can this be solved without the renewal of a passport? Or is this something that is impossible? I am a Canadian citizen if this changes anything.

I’m afraid it is impossible because your passport should have a remaining validity of at least 6 months when you apply for a visa.
There is no other way to solve this problem. You have to renew your passport.
