About:China Visa Application in USA
Would I need a visa to China if I'm hopping to Shanghai for 3 days from Singapore/Bali?

E, if your travel route is like Singapore/Bali-Shanghai-US, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit. No entry permit is needed then.1
