Work visa for Australian hoping to work in China

Hello,

Is it a better idea to go to China on a tourist visa and then apply for a work visa when I’m in China?

Or is it better to apply for a work visa in Melbourne before going?

If you go to China for work, then you should apply for a Z-type work visa in your home country in advance and you need to provide a work permit notification to the Embassy. In the case, you need to get a job offer at first and your employer will help you get some of the requirements.
