About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am flying from Amsterdam to Sydney (return) with twice a layover in Xiamen of 11 and 19 hours.

Can I book a hotel outside the airport within the 24 hour free transit policy?

Harry, if so, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Xiamen for both legs of your trip.
You can book a hotel outside the airport by applying for a temporary stay permit at the immigration office.
