How many steps of stair are ideal for a house?

Our house is a 3 storey apartment type. The first floor serves as a parking lot, is it OK that the stair from the 2nd floor landed facing the front gate? And how many steps a stair should have?

The number of the steps doesn't matter. But making the stair facing the front gate should influence the fortune. You are advised to put a screen in between.
