About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I need help, please!

Hello,
I'm going to fly from Frankfurt (Germany) to Auckland (New Zealand). There will be two stops.

Frankfurt (FRA) - Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX)
Changsha Huanghua International Airport (CSX) - Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN)
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) - Auckland (AKL)

Do I need a visa or not? Please help!
Thank you!!

You are flying with China Southern?
If so, your transfer time in China is under 24h and you can enjoy the direct transit and don´t need to apply for a visa.

Thanks a lot!
Yes, I'm flying with China Southern.

I just read this:
1. No visa is required for foreigners who hold tickets to the final destination and have booked seats on international airlines, ships, trains transiting directly through China, and will stay for less than 24 hours and do not leave the specified transit area.

What if I have to collect my baggage and leave the area therefore?! As I think the China Southern Lady told me so. Am I going to get some kind of 24 hour free transit then or do I need to know before I start my trip?

Thank you!

Greta, if you need to collect your luggage and leave the transit area, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the immigration office after you arrive at the airport and it is free of charge.
You don’t need to do anything before your trip.
