About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

fly from Toronto to Laos

Hi!, I see tickets fly from Toronto to Shanghai, than transit at Shanghai to Nanning or Kunming ( Do I need a Chinese visa in order to transit ), then go to Laos..

Amy, if your layover time in PRC is less than 24 hours in total, you can make use of the 24 hour direct transit, no entry permit is needed then. Otherwise, a transit G type or tourist L type is needed.
