About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

While traveling from Pakistan back to USA, can I stop in Beijing for 72 hrs?

What is the best way for obtaining that free transit visa. MY city in USA does not have an office of the Chinese Embassy. Please advise. Thanks. Jasmine.

You can stop in Beijing for 72 hours and if so, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit there. In this case, you don’t need to apply for an entry permit. You just need to inform the carrier that you want to use the free transit in Beijing when you board the plane in Pakistan, and then apply for the free transit when you arrive at Beijing airport.
