About:Visa Policy of China

Hi i will be travelling to china Xi An on the 1st October.

I will fly back to Singapore on the 15th October from Xi An at 2005hrs. I will reach Beijing airport at 2225hrs. My next flight time is 0005hrs on the 16th October. I am flying via air china. I am a Singaporean. My questions to you are
1. Do i need to apply for a visa during the stay in China?
2. If the answer is no, then how safe am I that I will not be detained in the airport?
3. Is my flight consider a transit....which means i do not need to collect my luggage?

1. Shane, because Singapore passport holders can enjoy free entry to PRC and stay for less than 15 days, so no entry permit is required.
2. You just need to provide your passport and the return ticket, then you won’t encounter any problems. There is no need to worry!
3. Because you will fly back to Singapore, so it’s not a transit. You need to contact with the airline and confirm if you need to collect the luggage. If it is delivered to the final destination, there is no need to collect. Otherwise, you need to collect it by yourself.
