what type of visa please for tourist who may accept a job once in china?

Hello.I am looking to go to China to DISCUSS job opportunities. I have two possibilities.What entry permit should I be looking at? One company has suggested a tourist L type and one company has suggested a 'M type'.Thank you in advance.

Shaun, if you may want to work immediately after you get the offer, you are advised to apply for an M type because it's easier to convert M type to Z type without leaving China. Otherwise, both L and M are good for you.
