About:Marriage Registration in China

UK Bride and Groom to marry in Shanghai

Hi,
My fiance and I will be working in China (so already prepping our work Visas), and would like to get married whilst we are out there.
What is the process I would need to go through for this?

If you want to register your marriage at the consulate general of UK in PRC, you should go to the consulate and ask about the relevant procedures.
But if you want to register your marriage at the marriage registration office in China, you should first provide your passport, residence permit in PRC, single status certificate and an approval letter from your country to allow you to register in China and recognize its validity. And then you can go to the Department of Civil Affairs to register your marriage.
