About:Shanghai Pudong Airport Bus to Nearby Cities

Will I be able to make it to go from PVG to Hangzhou at night?

So here's the deal, I'll be arriving in Shanghai Pudong Airport at 20:20 and want to catch a bus to Hangzhou on the same night. Now I know that the last bus leaves at 21:00 so would I be cutting it too close or do you think I'll have just enough time to make it? This is assuming that the tickets for the bus are still available by the time I reach the counter.

If you have no check-in luggage, you are very likely to catch the 21:00 schedule. Otherwise, I don't think you will catch it. Then you may choose to take a train instead:
collect your luggage - catch shuttle bus line 7 to South Railway Station in 60-70min - the last train for Hangzhou leaves at 23:30 which you can certainly catch and it takes 3.5h to arrive.

Yes, I do have luggage that I'll have to collect. Just to be clear, the south railway station that you mentioned is the hongqiao railway station right? Also, I know that the fastest train from there to Hangzhou takes about an hour, so do you think that this train would be available at the time, or would I have to get a ticket for the normal train?

No, the South Station is different from Hongqiao, which is a high speed one and has no suitable schedules for your arriving. So the South Station for an ordinary train can be your choice.
