About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

U.K.- Dubai- Beijing-Hong Kong

Have a flight booked in 2 weeks from Uk to Beijing with a 3 hour layover in Dubai Intend to stay in Beijing for 65 hours and have a ticket booked onwards to Hong Kong My question is will I qualify for a 72hr TWOV as my flight from Uk is not a Direct. Or will my journey be classed as Dubai 1st country Beijing transit country and Hong Kong third country. Or do I have to get an entry permit. Difficult to surrender passport for a visa as need it to travel for business next week.
Have tried contacting embassy and cvas to no avail.
Many Thanks in advance Lucy

Lucy, you qualify for the 72-hour free transit. Dubai is the fist country, Beijing transit country, and HK third country.
