About:Ancient Chinese Marriage Custom

Marriage to a female Chinese National

I am an American male citizen and want to Marry her in China.Is that possible ? And what do I need to file or what kind of Identification do I need to have to get a marriage license? And after we are married can I remain in PRC? Thank you!!

James, you can definitely do it in PRC and stay in the country after the marriage. You need to get a single status certificate from the US embassy first. Take the certificate and your passport, as well as your wife's ID card and Hukou ( household register ) to get the marriage license at the local civil affairs bureau.
