About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

London-Beijing-Osaka-Tokyo -Beijing London

Hallo there, I plan to travel to Japan via Beijing in October my intention is to stop over for two days the Great Wall plus spend an extra day visiting the Xian province.Will the 72 hour visa apply?

Caroline, if you will travel like that, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit because when you use the free transit in Beijing, you are only allowed to travel around Beijing, you cannot go to Xian. So you need to apply for a tourist L type for your transit in Beijing when you plan to visit Xian for a day.
