Hi. I'll be going to Changbaishan in January 2017. But I'm not sure which one is better to stay at. Changbai Mountain or Changbai ski resort?I looked in Changbai Xidong Chalet situated at the foot of Changbai Mounain and scenAry from picture were very nice.I also looked at Sheratot Changbai Ski resort which was nice as well but a bit expensive.I just wanna know which area is better to stay and how far is the mountain from ski resort? I'd like to do both hiking and skiing. Thanks in advance!

If you want to have a close view of the natural scenery of the mountain, it is suggested you live in the Xidong Chalet at the foot of the mountain. The facilities in the Sheraton ski resort should be complete, but you need to take a 40 minutes' drive to reach the entrance of the mountain. How to choose is totally up to you.While your visiting, you should not miss the northern slope for it is praised to be the most beautiful section of the mountain. You can also find a natural ski field in this section.Enjoy your time!
