Train ride from Chengdu to Lhasa

Is there anyone taking train from Chengdu to Lhasa? I want to book train to Lhasa, is it possible? Or flight is better?

According to my experience, the train journey to Lhasa is very long, around 44 hours, you may feel tired and bored for such a long trip. Also, the train tickets can only be bought 60 days prior to the departure date at the train station, and it is easily and frequently chartered by the government officials. Therefore, I think flight might be a better choice for you.
