About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Austrian living and working in Bangkok

I would like to fly from Bangkok to Beijing and visit a friend. Would fly back within the 72 hours to Bangkok. Is it possible to do it with the 72 hours Transit Visa?

Bernd, if you fly directly from Beijing to Bankok on your way back, I'm afraid you can't enjoy the 72h free transit policy because the departure country and arrival country should be different. I advise you to have a layover in South Korea or Japan before returning to Bankok to make you eligible.
