About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Do I need visa for Hong Kong and China?

I´m from Argentina. I´m planning to visit Beijing for 3 days and then, to visit Hong Kong for 2 days. Do I need entry permit for both or I only need to go with my passport. Thank you!

Santiago, if you fly from Argentina to Beijing and then to HK, you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy in Hong Kong. And you can enjoy the 90-day free entry policy of HK, so you can just go there with your passport and air tickets.

Thank you Nancy! When you talked about the 72 hour free transit policy is for China, isnt´t it?
I´m arriving to Beijing on January 14th at 4.40 am, and I´m leaving en January 17th at 6.50. I have a few hours more than 72. Do you think i need a visa?

Thank you!!!

Santiago, yes, the 72 hour free transit is only carried out in some cities in China.
The 72 hours usually start from 00:00 the day following your entry, so your actual stay in PRC will be more than 72 hours. In this case, you can still enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing. No visa is needed.
