About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I'm going on a cruise and will stop in Shanghai for a few hours I don't want to get off the ship

Do I have to get a visa even though I'm not Leaving the cruise ship

Joyce, if you do not leave the cruise ship, I think you can use the free transit policy, but you had better confirm this with the cruise company.
