About:Chinese Embassy in Indonesia

Hello, I am from the Netherlands (currently on a holiday in Indonesia)

and want to go to China from here to study Taiji for a month. The academy can provide me an admission/invitation letter. Do I need to apply for X2 or just a general tourist visa? The master at the academy said it does not matter for them.
I will fly into Beijing and take a train to the province of Hubei. Do I need additional permits for that?
Is it possible at all for me to apply in Jakarta if I'm in Indonesia on a tourist visa (on arrival)?
Thanks a lot,
Anna

Anna, you don’t need to apply for X2 type, and you can just apply for tourist L type or an F type.
Once you get the L type or F type, you can use it to enter PRC and go to Hubei from Beijing. No other permit is needed.
It’s possible for you to apply for it in Jakarta even though you are just a tourist there.
