About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We will go a 17 days cruise that starts in Singapore and ends in Tianjin port.

From there we have to go to Beijing airport by shuttle bus for our flight back to the USA. Do we need to get a visa for this travel from the seaport to the airport?

Rene, if your total stay in PRC is less than 24 hours, you can use the 24 hour direct transit in PRC. In this case, no visa is needed. You can apply for a free temporary stay permit at Tianjin port and then go to Beijing from there to take the flight.
