How quick is the visa change-over process

My Z type ends on the 15th September, and I wish for my tourist L type to begin that day. Will the PSB centre be able to apply this to my passport that day, as long as I apply for it a few weeks in advance? I want to go travelling to another city asap and will need my passport to do so. Many thanks in advance.

You are advised to apply for the tourist L type 7 days prior to the expiry date of your work Z type. The process takes 7 working days.
Your passport is needed when applying for the L type.
