Auckland to Guangzhou on way to London - can I visit Wuhan for 48 hours?

I am planning a trip from Auckland to London with a stop in Guangzhou - I would like to fly to Wuhan for 48 hours and then back to Guangzhou to get back on the flight to London. Is it ok to do this on the 72 hour visa as both Guangzhou and Wuhan are on the 72 hour free transit list of cities?

Charlie, no, you cannot do that. When you enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Guangzhou, you are only allowed to travel around Guangdong Province. You cannot go to Wuhan.
