About:Prohibited Items

Can I bring packed sealed food that has no ingredients on prohibited list, Approx 4 each?

Also, will I be able to bring in a set of knives (for kitchen use) and some cooking pots?

It should be allowed to bring in the sealed food. There won't be problems.
You can also take knives and cooking pots into PRC. But you have to put them in checked luggage.

Thanks Edmund!

We have two large luggage of food (sealed). Okay right? That's a relief to know - cos we miss our hometown food very much.

It might be too much. You'd better take out some of them. Or, you may contact the customs to get a certain answer for that.

do not take too much sealed food. Actually the price of knives are much cheaper than Singapore in China, you don't have to take yours with you.

My mom packed the knives for me. It's like her treasured collection and she was quite upset with her helper for forgetting to bring it to us when we first moved. So to keep peace, we said we would bring over... You know...

The food goes into mixed luggages. Means each of us have our luggages half food, half clothes since we packed the food we wanted.
