Group Visa for 50 people
I am PRO for the Live Life Lisa Orsi Foundation, a voluntary organisation established to celebrate the live of a young Irish woman, Lisa Orsi who died in tragic circumstances in March 2015. The attached brochure gives you some information about the organisation.
We are planning to bring a group of around fifty people to China this autumn to take part in the Asian Gaelic Games. The group will fly to Beijing and then travel onward to Shanghai where the Games are being held at the beginning of November..
The Belfast office is not processing applications and I have several questions as I am getting conflicting information from different websites:
Can we all travel on a group L type? (I travelled to PRC in 2001 and we were all on the one entry permit).
If we do have to apply individually, can this be done online and, if so, what is the cost for people travelling on (a) an Irish passport and (b) a UK passport?
I understand the cost of postal applications is £110 for an Irish passport and £175 for a UK passport. Is this correct?
Can a representative of the group make an appointment to present all the relevant completed paperwork on behalf of those travelling to PRC to the office in Manchester or Edinburgh and collect their passports. Is this service for people on UK passports only or for all passport holders?. If so, what is the cost of getting the entry permit in this way for someone on (a) a UK passport and (b) on an Irish passport.
Would people with an Irish passport be advised to go to the Consulate General office in Dublin to get their Chinese entry permits processed?
I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
