S2 visa revewal and conversion into S1

Hi, my wife and kids wants to stay with me for more than 1 year here in PRC. They get S2 type, is it possible to convert or change S2 into S1 type.

Khan, it’s possible for them to convert the S2 type to S1 type.

DEAR Adrian, How and where can i do the conversion and what is the procedure. Would you like to give me little more details.

The first step is to prepare the required documents: their passports, valid registration form of temporary residence, the application form, a half-length color photo, an invitation letter from you, copies of your passport and residence permit, as well as marriage certificate and birth certificate.
The next step is to submit the application to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to convert the S2 type to S1 type.
