About:China Work Visa

Is it possible to convert S1 visa to Z type

Hi, I have a query please.
My husband is working in beijing and i have a research assistant job offer from other province. Prof is said can you come under s1 type do job here. is it possible?
what are the requirement to do join as a research assistant in the other province?

Rajini, no, you cannot go there and work under S1 type. You need to apply for a work Z type to work there.
The required documents include your passport and its copy, completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, as well as alien employment permit, an invitation letter of a duly authorized unit (your employer will get these two documents for you).
And then go to the exit and entry administration in the other province to change the S1 type to work Z type and change the purpose of stay on your residence permit.

It is not allowed to work under a S1 visa. if you want to work, you have to apply for a China work visa.
