The opening hour for night trip to Gubei Watertown is from 18:00 to 22:00 in August. You can take bus no. 980 at Dongzhimen Station and get off at Miyun West Bridge Station, then change to bus Mi 51 to Simatai Village and walk to the destination. The night scene of the town is quite beautiful and you can also visit a certain section of Simatai Great Wall by cable car. There are accommodations available in the town, you can stay overnight inside or near the site.0
