About:Beijing Long-Distance Bus

I would like to travel to Wutai Mountain, Shanxi, from Beijing.

Is it faster to take the bus to Wutai Mountain or take the train to Wutaishan train station and then take a taxi to the mountain?

It seems like taking bus is the best option. Can you confirm?
If it yes, could you please tell me:
- which bus goes to Wutai Mountain from Liuliqiao Bus Station (bus number or chinese character)?
- at which stop should I get off of the bus? (I am going to Mariott Hotel in Wutaishan)
- Is it possible to book bus tickets in advance? how should I do it?

Thank you very much
Pj

Travelling by bus may be a better choice. You can take a bus to Wutaishan from Liuliqiao Bus Station. The bus has no number. You can find the Chinese characters "五台山" on the front window fr your reference. By the way, the buses depart at 9:30, 11:30, and 15:30. The trip takes about 5 hours, and the fare is CNY145. You should get off at the terminus, and then hike to the hotel.

You can book the bus ticket at the official website of BJ Interprovincial Passenger Transport System. Since the booking system only has Chinese version, you may ask your Chinese friends for help.
