About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying in to Hong Kong & cruising out with Celebrity

Leaving Hong Kong after 3 days to Taipei Taiwan, Okinawa, then Shanghai 6AM-10:00 PM depart to Nagasaki, Kobe, and will fly back to USA from Tokyo...does this qualify for the 144 Hour free Visa? How does one get the Arrival/Departure card? In Shanghai to leave the ship I assume you need the A/D card and I understand it we need a free temporary stay permit that is a stamp on the Passport...where is it stamped. Am I understanding the process and again WHERE DOES ONE GET THE ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE CARD?

Dawn, you are not eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai because you will go back to Japan after staying in Shanghai. You need to apply for a visa ahead of your trip.
You can get the Arrival/Departure card when you are on the cruise ship.
