octopus card options for travelers with kids

Question

hi, I am travelling with my wife and 4yr old daughter. We will be staying in Hong Kong for 5 days. Our requirement is a return trip to airport (ie, using the express line two times), and most days of other lines of MTR... Which card will be sufficient...I see there is no Child card option for express line...So is it required to purchase 3 Airport express Travel card ? Any other options ? appreciated your help.....please advice..thanks,Haridas

Well, Airport Express Travel Pass with one/two single journeys costs HKD 250/350 per person. There is no concessionary price for children. But your daughter can enjoy half price if you buy separate AE tickets for her. Considering that you will stay in HK for 5 days, you are advised to buy Standard Octopus Cards, with which you can ride on Airport Express, Light Rail, buses, taxis, ferries, trams, etc. Each adult needs to pay HKD 50 as the refundable deposit, and HKD 100 as the stored value. Your daughter needs to pay HKD 50 as the refundable deposit, and HKD 20 as the stored value.
