Travel from Australia to HK with criminal record

Hi, I am planning to visit Hong Kong in 2 months. I breached the Corporations Act in Australia, and as a result, I have served a few months custodial sentence and have a criminal record against my name. Do I need to declare this? Will this be picked up on arrival? Should I apply for a visa? Should I outlined the above when applying for it?

I don’t think it will cause big trouble for your travel. If you hold Australian passport, you don’t need to apply for the entry permit and you are allowed to enter HK freely for a stay of not exceeding 90d days.
