About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Children status HI. I'm a malaysian and my future wife is from PRC.

When we have a kid after our marriage, does the kid automatically become a Chinese citizen? What I heard is that if I have not obtain my China Citizen before the kid is born, the kid will not be able to obtain the China 'Hu Kou'. Is this true? If so, how do I go about it?

Calvin, if your future wife doesn’t get Malaysia permanent residence permit before your kid is born, the kid will become a Chinese citizen automatically. And the kid just needs to apply for a Travel Document to enter PRC.

Calvin, have you applied for the permanent residence permit (China green card)? Like to understand how you manage to apply for the no-criminal record.
