About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Resident permit renewal,Hi.. my resident permit is going to expire in 2 weeks from now

I entered china in a student visa and studied chinese language, I moved to another university and I have got an admission, now I want to renew my resident permit and all documents required by the new university are with me also, I paid the tuition fee in full for the year 2016 /2017. I think the university should give me a document which I can take to the immigration office to renew my resident permit and they didn't give it to me until now, I am really worried that my resident permit expire before I get to renew. Also, if they gave me this document how long does it take to be renewed and if it take longer time, will I pay fine even if I submit all my document for renewal before the expiration date..

Please help.

Thamer, usually, the residence permit should be renewed one month prior to its expiry date. As you said, it will expire in two weeks, I’, afraid it’s too late to renew it even though you can get the documents now.
You may need to apply for a new student X type and then apply for the new residence permit after you get the relevant materials from the school.

Does that mean I have to leave and apply for student X visa all over again, in this article it says before the resident expire, they didn't mention any specific time.

I just checked with someone I know, he went on the last day of his resident permit and was able to submit all documents (the office of immigration accepted the document and proceed with the renewal) he told me he forgot one stamp and they told him to come back to next day so actually he was able to submit the documents after one day from their expiry date of his permit.

I hope this case is the usual case for everyone, I want to know if someone had a similar case.
