Getting a different type of visa in China

Hi, I currently have a student x1 type. Can I apply for and obtain a business M type within PRC? How to apply?

Michael, it’s possible for you to get a business M type within PRC. You should first prepare the relevant materials containing your passport, the application form, valid temporary residence registration form, a recently-taken half-length color photo, and an invitation letter from an entity in PRC. next, go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to convert the student X type to M type.
