multiple entry option with S1 visa?

I was on a dependent S1 entry permit through my husband but my residence permit was deregistered after our divorce by my now ex-husband. However, my 2 children -both under the age of 18- still have their resident permit in China and will continue to go to school there. In order to be able to live with them in China I want to enter with an S1 and have the opportunity to go in and out of China during the 180 days of its validity. Is this possible or should I apply for a different type?

Lien, I think you could just renew your residence permit and you can live in China based on your children's X1 type and residence permit.

Unfortunately not Frank, both kids have a dependent S1 from their dad and all possibilities were explored to extend my residence permit. The only option for now is the S type, it's just weird I cannot find any info about the possibilities to leave and re-enter on that type. Anybody has experience with that? thx
