About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

As a UK Citizen can I get a Chinese tourist visa whilst travelling in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil?

I am a UK citizen but will be travelling in South America for 6 months before visiting PRC. Can I apply for a Chinese tourist L type in Rio de Janeiro and what documentation will I need?

Alicia, it’s possible for you to apply for it in Brazil. You need to prepare those materials containing your passport and its copy, the application form with a passport-style photo attached, your valid entry permit for Brazil, and proof of your transportation and accommodation arrangement.
