6 months tourist visa without getting out of prc

Question

Dears, Good day,I am planning to follow my companion in China whom will work under an employment Z type permit. I would like to live with him and I am planning to start a 6 month duration tourist L type with Single or Multi Entry. My question is : Do I have to leave Main Land China every month and check-in/out from Hong Kong/Korea etc... Or can I stay for 6 full months in Main Land China and then leave within my 6 months limit ? Any chance to proceed like that ? Thanks a lot & Best Regards,AR

Gabriel, if you get multiple-entry tourist L type, you need to leave PRC after the stay duration runs out, and then enter again to activate another stay duration. I’m afraid you cannot stay for 6 full months in PRC. But if you two get married, you can apply for an S type which may allow you to stay for 6 full months in PRC.
