taxi fares in shanghai

How much is a taxi fare from Pudong International Airport to the bund riverside hotel.I have been advised not to get into a Red Taxi ? is that correct.

If you take a taxi, the fare is about CNY180. You are suggested to take a blue or green taxi, which is owned by large cab companies and the drivers are usually trained and polite. While the red cabs belong to the small companies. Perhaps certain drivers will detour.
